Galt el Azraq
Located 2 days walk from the town of St. Katherine, Galt el Azraq is the largest natural water pool in the High Mountain Region, and probably in the whole of Sinai. It is full all year round, being fed by underground streams. It is in Wadi Talla Kibira, a long, steep and green valley starting at Farsh Rumana and leading from the high mountains to lower wadis. Galt el Azraq is about halfway down.
Around Galt el Azraq- Galt el Azraq: a natural pool located half way in the long and steep Wadi Tala Kibira.
- Wadi Tala Kibira: a long and steep wadi starting at Farsh Rummana and ending at the Wadi Jinab–Wadi Madaman junction called Sheikh Ahmed.
- Farsh Rummana: a big open basin with gardens, the last part of Wadi Jibal.
- Sid Abu Hbeq: a natural dam where water often can be found in pools, located half-way between Farsh Rummana and Galt el Azraq.
- Bery Canyon: a split in the mountain wall near Sid Abu Hbeq, where an alternative route from Bab el Donya jons Wadi Tala Kibira.
- Farsh Umm Silla: a basin located above Galt el Azraq, on the way to Wadi Abu Tuweita.
