Sheikh Faranja

Sheikh Faranja is a small settlement around 20 kilometres from St Katherine, near St. Catherine International Airport, set at the junction of sandy wadis among low hills. It is named after the holy man whose tomb stands on a rocky outcrop, where Bedouin ceremonies known as zwara were traditionally held. It also lies along a couple of the trekking trails.
